They just keep on coming. On this one the main idea was to test Bruce Grant’s Lone Star Knot as a concept for defeating a knot’s tendency to slide down the sloped shoulders of a bottle as you tighten it. I got the knot fairly snug and in place, then cranked down on the green interweave before working the black Turk’s Head down. It works great, and the idea is a problem solver for other situations with similar difficulties.
A hot sauce bottle covered in paracord is starting to seem the usual thing to me. I just opened a new bottle and the bare glass felt strange. On the other hand I now have a new victim for my affliction. Any suggestions for how to treat it would be welcomed. I can probably resist starting for a couple of days anyway — what do you think would look good?
